Kumara Chickpea Curry

This best selling mildly spiced Indian curry contains our own secret recipe of freshly toasted and ground spices to create an aromatic flavoursome meal. We use the humble kiwi kūmara and chickpeas for that added protein and carbohydrates, perfect for refuelling after adventures. 

We use brown rice in this curry as it is more nutrient-rich than white rice, it contains more fibre, B vitamins, healthy fats and antitoxins. In short, it’s a healthier choice. We also have an abundance of spinach in this meal, which is extremely nutrient-rich. It packs high amounts of vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron, and calcium. All in all, this is a meal jam-packed with goodness.

We use ‘The Good Oil’ virgin sunflower oil for our cooking, grown right here on the slopes of Otago. Also, the tomatoes we use are grown in New Zealand. By using local produce we support New Zealand growers and reduce food miles and carbon emissions.
