Berries and Hazelnuts Porridge
The newest addition to our porridge range is mouth-wateringly delicious, packed with sweet, zesty, juicy strawberries, raspberries and blueberries and crunchy earthy hazelnuts. We toast pumpkin and sunflower seeds by hand until they are golden brown to bring a true nutty flavour.
We use local produce in our porridges to reduce food miles and our carbon footprint. We source Harraways New Zealand grown oats, and salt from Lake Grassmere that comes straight out of our moana.
So why eat porridge for breakfast? Oats are a great source of nutrient-rich whole grains and a primary source of energy. The fibre content helps improve digestion, and the soluble fibre feeds the good bacteria living in the gut for a healthier puku.
Why are chia seeds good for me? They contain large amounts of fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, plenty of high-quality protein, and several essential minerals and antioxidants. As such, they are great at helping you recover and stay healthy whilst adventuring. In fact “chia” is the ancient Mayan word for “strength”.
