Here at Local Dehy we are committed to DOING GOOD. That’s why we have partnered up with several organisation and trusts to support our sustainability efforts and to reinvest back into our whenua. We also support several local outdoor events, primarily the female competitors.
Te Kākano Aotearoa Trust is a Wānaka community-based native plant nursery that specialises in propagating plants of local origin (Upper Clutha region) and uses these plants for localised native habitat restoration. We work with local community groups, schools, organisations & businesses in the effort to promote hands-on community land care.
Protect Out Winters Aotearoa connects passionate outdoor enthusiasts and everyone who loves and needs winter to generate positive climate outcomes. We focus on educational initiatives and community-based empowerment to preserve New Zealand’s alpine playground.
One Tree Planted is a nonprofit that is on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create an impact for nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to restore forests that have been degraded or deforested, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity habitat.
